Palaiologos Interlude- [Imperial Prince 01] John's departure

The reopening of the Palace of the Despots at Mystras inspired me to explore Constantine XI's years as Despot of Morea. That eventually led me to create Palaiologos Interlude, a series of short stories about Constantine XI, Manuel II, John VIII, and other members of the Palaiologos family. The series is updated on Webtoon

This comic series explores different moments in the lives of the Palaiologos dynasty. My initial plan is to divide it into three parts: Imperial Prince, Morea, and Emperor.

Imperial Prince focuses on Constantine Palaiologos before he became ruler of the Morea, when he was still a prince under the reign of his father and later his brother. Morea follows the period when Constantine served as Despot of the Morea.

Emperor covers the reign of Constantine XI, from his accession to the throne to the fall of Constantinople. I'm not sure if I will continue the story all the way to 1453, since the final siege is not the main focus of this series. I'm also interested in exploring Manuel II's life as a prince and later as a hostage at the Ottoman court.

The stories are not told in chronological order. One chapter may take place during Constantine XI's reign, while the next may return to his earlier years as an imperial prince.

Το Palaiologos Interlude είναι μια σειρά ιστορικής μυθοπλασίας που διαδραματίζεται στις τελευταίες δεκαετίες της δυναστείας των Παλαιολόγων και της Βυζαντινής Αυτοκρατορίας. Η σειρά ακολουθεί τη ζωή του Κωνσταντίνου Παλαιολόγου, του μετέπειτα αυτοκράτορα Κωνσταντίνου ΙΑ΄, από τα νεανικά του χρόνια ως αυτοκρατορικού πρίγκιπα μέχρι την περίοδο που έγινε Δεσπότης του Μυστρά και αργότερα αυτοκράτορας. Η ιστορία περιλαμβάνει επίσης τον αυτοκράτορα Μανουήλ Β΄ Παλαιολόγο, τον Ιωάννη Η΄ Παλαιολόγο και άλλα μέλη της δυναστείας.
